Martial Glacier
From the chairlift, you’ll have a bird’s eye view of the glacier, the city of Ushuaia and Beagle Channel.
After making your way up the winding path to the Martial Glacier, you reach the Andean ski track and the chair lift. This spot itself offers an impressive view of Beagle Channel, the city of Ushuaia, the glacier and even Navarino Island (Chile). If you continue on foot, after walking about an hour and a half, you have the unique feeling of being surrounded by ice.
Different types of transport will take you from downtown Ushuaia here in 10 or 15 minutes. The trip is seven kilometers.
Useful information
Chairlift duration: Approx. 15 minutes (up). You can go down on foot or take the chairlift back down (15 minutes). The walking options vary from one to several hours.
The glacier can be visited year round.
