Horseback Riding to Monte Susana

This trip will take you down the paths taken by the inmates of the Ushuaia prison in the years when they worked as timbermen.
As you advance upwards along the sediments of a glacier moraine, you will begin to enjoy exceptional views of the city of Ushuaia and its peninsula, Beagle Channel and Bridges Islands.

The vegetation of the Antarctic forest is truly impressive, and you will spot many different species along the path: the lenga beech, the sour cherry tree, the winter’s bark, Chilean firebrush and the Magellan barberry, in addition to varied flora and fauna. Later you reach the coast of Beagle Channel, where two Chilean islands, Navarino and Hoste, come into view.
A bit further along the coastal path, you come to Concheros, the remains of a spot once inhabited by an ancient culture of nomads, the Yamanas.
Before returning to the point of departure, you will cross the Pipo River atop your horse, an exciting end to this unforgettable adventure.
