4x4 Lake Adventure

You will leave the hostel early in the morning for the lakes. Route 3 takes you into the Tierra del Fuego mountains and up to Garibaldi Fjord, a lookout point where we will see the impressive Escondido and Fagnano lakes and their astounding landscapes. The route then leads back down and you turn off Route 3 to follow the old paths of the woodcutters. The Land Rover takes you down path that would have been impossible otherwise, through forests, mud and stone.

The adventurous wanderings along the coast of the lake end with a delicious asado right on the shores. While the food is grilling, you can take a walk and explore the area.

After lunch, the adventure continues at Escondido Lake, which is smaller than Fagnano but stunningly beautiful.

Then it’s time to get the canoes ready and start rowing; the view from the water is truly something else.
